The stuff legends are made of. Really. In a town that frowns on late-night antics of any kind, Iguana’s still thrives. The burritos are colossal and downtown San Jose just wouldn’t be the same without this family-run establishment. Students and club-goers alike demand it.

Iguana’s cooks up some tasty burritos and tacos, but it also dedicates nearly half the restaurant to hosting events like Lyrical Discipline, a hip-hop and spoken-word freestyle session that happens every other Friday. DJs, MCs, poets and anyone else who wants to get on the mic all help to keep this event fresh and vibrant.
