About
Our goal is to craft fashion from utility - to create useful, understated items that get better with time. We built our own shirt and jacket factory and connected it to our design studio so a collaborative spirit could exist. Our factory is small, but produces great products with a personal feel. In stark contrast to most brands, we design and make many of our products within feet of each other - not oceans apart.
Hlaska was founded in Hayes Valley, San Francisco, in 2005 by Anthony Mazzei and Chad Hurley. What started as a collaboration to make stylish work bags, expanded over the years to become a full offering of bags, wallets, clothing, and even watches.
