About
HEROES is the volunteer placement program for the Oakland Unified School District. We place volunteers in a variety of roles throughout the District, including, but not limited to: one-on-one tutors, classroom assistants, guest speakers, campus beautification and assitants in after-school programs. We have several one-time events, such as Read Aloud Day, that are a perfect way to support the youth of Oakland without a large time commitment.
