Established in 1985Dr. Alan Heit was born and raised in Los Angeles and has been coming to Santa Cruz since 1969. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. After teaching in Los Angeles city school district, he attended UCLA Dental School and earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982. He is the recipient of numerousawards, including Metro Gold/Santa Cruz Weekly Award for "Best Dentist"in 2012 and many previous years. In addition to practicing as a generaldentist, he has served the community on the Parks and Recreation Commission, Board of Directors for the Kumbaa Jazz Center, Board of Directors for the Community Childrens' Center, Board of Directors for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Board of Directors for the Young Performers' Showcase, Board of Directors for the Cultural Council of Santa Cruz, Site Council for Bay View Elementary School and previously practiced in the UC Santa Cruz Medical Center Dental Clinic.
