The outdoor concert series kicks off on Memorial Day weekend in Saratoga with a soulful performance from Erykah Badu. The annual series includes performances from a wide variety of genres throughout the summer continuing to October. The lineup includes The Roots, Beach Boys, ZZ Top and more.

San Francisco-based food truck impresarios Off the Grid are continuing their South Bay tour with a stop in Mountain View. Live musicians will join a rotating lineup of food trucks from 5-9pm, including: O Mi Ninja, Cluck It Up, 3-3-3, Los Tolucas, Porky's SJ, 3 Brothers Kitchen, Judie's Locos Tacos, Seoulful Fried Chicken, J Shack, SAJJ Street Eats, Road Dogs, Cheese Gone Wild, Cookies and Cream and Swift Sweets. Since launching in 2010, Off the Grid has expanded to include 180 vendors and a couple-dozen weekly markets throughout the greater Bay Area. The organization brought its trucks down to Silicon Valley this spring, with stops in San Jose, Cupertino, Menlo Park, Sunnyvale and Palo Alto.

Dozens of the Bay Area's most popular brewers and burger joints will gather in Fremont for the city's first annual Burger and Brew Fest. The 11am-6pm event, hosted by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, will feature Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Golden Road Brewing, Hangar 24 Craft Brewery, Mendocino Brewing Company, Peak Organic Brewing Company, Sierra Nevada, Speakeasy Ales and Lagers, Trumer Pils and Ninkasi Brewing. Food trucks booked for the festival include Hongry Kong, Opie's Gourmet Stacked Burgers, Whole Foods Market, Canasta, Smothered and The Counter. Attendance is free and open to the public, but tickets for beer tasting cost $25 in advance or $30 cash at the door. There will be live entertainment, a kid zone and bistro style seating.

Tacos are experimental and equal opportunity at this two-day event, which has quickly become an annual San Jose tradition. Offerings from the Taco Festival of InnovationÑbrainchild of the people who created Moveable Feast - will include everything from Korean short rib and mac 'n' cheese tacos to the sweetness of ice cream tacos. All plates are $6 or less, making it easy to hop around and try at least a few of the three dozen-plus taco trucks in attendance. In addition to live music, piñata contests and Lucha Libre wrestling shows, arts and crafts vendors will also be on site. Word to the wise: Leave Fido at home. No pets allowed due to health concerns. $10 for one day or $15 for both days. Kids under 11 are free.

What's this? It's not July and we're recommending a trek to Gilroy? The Garlic Festival (July 24-26) can wait. The South Bay has a dearth of Memorial Day activities but Gilroy Gardens ticks the red, white and blue boxes with its three-day family fest. In addition to taking in the lush gardens and rides suitable for all ages, there are also two all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet offerings each day from Saturday through Monday. Tickets start at $42; parking $12.

It's time to bust out the bikinis and trunks and experience the essence of a Las Vegas or Miami pool party, locally. Detox Sundays bring that party scene to Cupertino with tickets starting at $35 for early bird and $45 for VIP. Dive into the weekend with a pool party with a lineup of DJs, food and drinks.
