Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras is a huge event in New Orleans, but Silicon Valley also partakes in the celebrations from New Orleans themed foods and beads given out at bars to celebrate the night right. We did some investigation and found that even with Super Bowl 50 in town, some businesses are planning to have fun on Fat Tuesday. Here’s a list of Silicon Valley businesses to visit for some Mardi Gras fun.
Louisiana Bistro

The Louisiana Bistro caters to anyone who craves Cajun and New Orleans food. For Fat Tuesday there will be a buffet and live music to pop off the Madri Gras celebrations.
Poor House Bistro
91 S. Autumn St., San Jose
Poor House Bistro is known for quality and authentic New Orleans dishes, and it’s the New Orleans of San Jose. This location will be throwing a Mardi Gras Party on Fat Tuesday featuring The Montego’s. Keep a look out for this place to be full with festivities.
Crawdaddy
779 Story Rd #1, San Jose
Located in East San Jose, Crawdaddy is the place to eat Crawfish, shrimps and Cajun food. Be prepared to get hands dirty at this location.
San Jose Bar and Grill
85 S. Second St, San Jose
Fat Tuesday is one the biggest events of the year for San Jose Bar and Grill. The specials include two dollar specialty shots, well drinks and kamikazes. It will get packed quickly so it’s recommended to get there early. Beads will be given out also for that Mardi Gras feel.
Tres Gringos
83 S. Second St, San Jose
Tres Gringos joins in celebrating Fat Tuesday. Drink specials include margaritas and well done drinks for two dollars. Doors open at 7 pm. To make it a Mardi Gras environment beads will be given out.

The name of the lounge gives it away quickly. The New Orleans themed place is a relaxed environment to enjoy a drink and celebrate Fat Tuesday.
Loft bar and Bistro

Fat Tuesday at Loft Bar and Bistro is totally phat! Rooftop patio with DJs and dancing all night. $6 Hurricane special too. No cover charge and always a fun time.
Nola
535 Ramona St, Palo Alto
The atmosphere brings New Orleans to Palo Alto. The restaurant is decorated with beads and masquerade masks on the walls. The food is also New Orleans inspired, and they also offer Creole and Cajun foods.
The Bywater

With ‘Be Nice Or Leave’ proudly displayed for all guests to see, Silicon Valley’s newest Creole Cajun restaurant serves up New Orleans specialties like Hush Puppies and Rich Man’s Red Beans and Rice along with an authentic assortment of drinks including their signature Hurricane Cocktial and even Dixie Long Neck beers.
