About
Brewery. With a wonderful garden patio, cozy dining room and beautiful banquet facilities, Gordon Biersch in San Jose is perfect for all occasions. Serving creative brew-house favorites, like Oven-Fired Pizza, Barbeque Burgers and Jambalaya Pasta, Gordon Biersch aims to satisfy the craving customer. Regularly hosting local bands on their patio stage, G.B. is a wonderful restaurant for live music and scrumptious eats.
----------------
Some will say that Gordon Biersch is overrated as a restaurant; but as a brewpub, it kicks ass. The huge menu of decent, eclectic pub grub is enough to fill your stomach at just about any hour, cushioning it for the insane amount of home-brewed beer that will inevitably follow. The huge outdoor patio area is open year round and serves as a cool spot for celebrating a birthday, enjoying dinner or just hanging out and getting plastered with friends.
----------------
Gordon Biersch is a local institution known for some of the tastiest fresh brewed suds around. Consistently a top rated beer producer, GB's brewpub in downtown San Jose is known for offering excellent German-style microbrews and tasty restaurant fare. This huge restaurant also has one of the finest year-round beer gardens in town, giving locals a huge place to kick back with friends and indulge in good food and good beer on a regular basis.
----------------
Gordon Biersch has a massive menu packed with every last bit of creative brewpub food that anyone could ever crave. Options range from burgers to Portobello skewers to rice pilaf, and the prices aren't too bad. The best part about hanging out at Gordon Biersch, though, is the beer (obviously). Winter or summer, rain or shine, this place offers some damn tasty house brewed suds that are too easy to drink.
----------------
An easy call; this popular favorite has many locations. Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch founded the institution in Palo Alto in 1988; that it has persisted through boom and bust is proof of the age-old appeal of four ingredients and a German purity law. Gordon Biersch deserves props for its elegance this is a brewpub you can take a date to. It also earns praise for its site-specificity as much as its beer, including the fine retrofitting of the first locale in the old Bijou theater in Palo Alto. The handsome old-world brick patio in San Jose is the ultimate place to have a couple during the end of a hot working day. Now up on the taps: the Octoberfest Fest Bier, a stronger, darker brew to combat the growing crispness of autumn.

2007 BEST OF SILICON VALLEY Staff Pick and Reader Survey Winner - First Place, Best Microbrewery
It's probably a stretch to call Gordon Biersch a microbrewery anymore, but this Silicon Valley beer house is something of an institution. How ever you want to classify them these local boys brew good beer. You can get their garlic fries at Costco, right?
