As spring weather lures homeowners further and further from their nests, hunger pangs are prone to strike without a kitchen pantry nearby. Today's Groupon covers wandering appetites with $40 worth of fresh farmer's-market fare, artisan pizzas, wine, and more for $20 at Globe in the middle of the Financial District. Crisp ingredients andlate-night hours unite under handcrafted recipes fit for midday cravings and late-night food vacancies.

Globe boasts a chill and welcoming dining room blessed by the simmering aromas of seasonal dishes. Foodies can quell the insistent inner-monologue that demands rustic pizzas with a supper menu that features artisan thin-crust pies like the potato, rosemary, and fontina pizza ($15) and the wild mushroom with black-truffle-oil pizza ($16). A full wine menu complements savory plates of king salmon atop boccacino pasta ($22), and a Hills Farm pork chop talks philosophy with cabbage, potatoes, and a smear of whole-grain mustard ($20). Toes are liable to curl and socks will spontaneously wield hands as their own puppets under the harmonious influence of a Borgo Belvedere 2008 Pinot Grigio ($8) paired with braised and boneless short rib, whipped potatoes, and collard greens ($24), with a side of macaroni with Tillamook cheese ($8).

While traditional Sunday dinners with family are known to contribute to stress, indigestion, and over-carbing, Sunday feasts at Globe are a special occasion of market-fresh inspiration sans post-meal board gaming. Each Sunday, the delightful chefs at Globe assemble a four-course farmer's supper using local produce from the weekend's farmer's markets. The Sunday menu changes every week to reflect new concoctions and fresh finds, but it always gives diners three different choices for each round of soups and salads, small plates, entrees, and desserts ($39 per person).
