Named "Friendliest Video Store" by SF Weekly, the staff of Four Star Video seem to know each of their customers (and their dogs) by name. Despite the feel of a classic neighborhood video store, the policies keep innovative to compete with the big chains and online competition. New Releases are stocked in considerable quantities, alongside an up-to-date selection of independent and foreign DVDs. Rentals are never considered "late," but rather are automatically renewed. Subscribing to the pre-pay program means that any video will cost you just $2.50 for two nights. The store gets swamped on the weekends; it never hurts to call ahead and reserve a title.
