About
Fort Ross State Historic Park is located on California's Sonoma County Coast, eleven miles north of the town of Jenner on Highway One, and two hours' driving time north of San Francisco. Fort Ross is located on a wave-cut marine terrace between the ocean to the southwest and the coastal hills to the northeast. The park contains about 3,400 acres of spectacular wildlands.
Fort Ross offers ample parking, and handicapped parking is available close to the fort. The Visitor Center, restrooms and portions of the fort compound are also handicap-accessible.
