The lengthy menu serves up unique and familiar dishes, highlighting the favorites in comfort food and American bistro cuisine. The list of appetizers is eclectic, with options like carpaccio, tuna sashimi, fire roasted artichokes and potato skins. Large salads range from mixed baby greens to warm goat cheese, seared ahi tuna or grilled flank steak, and there are perennially popular burgers and sandwiches like French dips, meatloaf, grilled chicken and the Monte Cristo. Diverse pasta, seafood, chicken, beef and special low-carb dishes populate the entrée menu.

Located in the Kirkwood Plaza on Campbell Avenue near the border of West San Jose, this restaurant is in close proximity to a number of major businesses, as well as residential areas in Los Gatos, Saratoga and West San Jose, making it a central dining or happy hour option. It is also located near Westgate Mall, tempting weary shoppers who need a bite to eat and a break from the clamorous mall scene. Reservations aren’t required at this Campbell hotspot, but Capers does have a reputation of filling up fast, so call ahead for availability.
