FASHION was front and center at the Fairmont Hotel last Friday, when hundreds of women filled the hotel’s ballroom as part of the Eye Candy, the Junior League of San Jose’s 2010 fundraising fashion show. Glitzy, sumptuous evening gowns by Couture by Azadeh shared the runway with preppy styles by Cole Haan, Ted Baker, Anne Fontaine, Eli Thomas, the Blues Jean Bar and Brooks Brothers. Macy’s provided the teen and children’s styles, while gigantic Sunday-go-to-meeting hats by Black Swan and chunky statement necklaces by Vardy’s were modeled to much “oohs” and “ahs” from the audience. Money raised at the annual luncheon, auction and fashion show went to support the league’s community program, which helps prepare underprivileged children to enter elementary school ready to learn and thrive. by Jessica Fromm on Mar 12, 2010 |
