Eddie Gale, founder and director, has presented the Concerts for World Peace to the San Jose State University and bay area communities for the past 15 years. Gale was proclaimed San Jose’s Ambassador of Jazz by Mayor Norman Y. Mineta in 1974; is the recipient of the Jefferson Award (2006) for public service in the arts; and the California Arts Council Sankofa award for over 25 years of service to youth in the arts. Gale is a former Blue Note recording artist.
