BEFORE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT WITH DORAN CONSTRUCTION of Santa Cruz…please think again. I used J.P. and his company to remodel three separate projects; on the final project, he sued me for not paying him in excess of the contracted amount. He also walked off the job without finishing, and later interfered with my efforts to sell the house by filing a mechanics lien for three times the amount he claimed was due. His attorney is his nephew and J.P. claims his legal services are provided for free; so if he doesn’t get his way, he sues. Don’t put yourself through what I went through.
