Description
Dishwalk would be a pretty cool name for a band, but in fact, it's much bigger than that. It's a downtown experiment, basically, and a new way for people to experience food and music in San Jose. Described as a "foodie treasure hunt," it's a self-guided tour that lets the ticketholder sample 10 dishes at participating restaurants (Little Chef Counter, Vino Vino, La Pinata, Sonoma Chicken Coop, Sabor, Myth, Firehouse, On a Roll, CreParis, Food Social's Halal), while musicians stage a series of guerilla "pop-up shows" from 2-5pm. Artists are subject to change, but include Paul Kimball of local favorites Careless Hearts, peninsula indie rockers Two Star Hotel, Kaila D'Sa, Vivienne and Nate Castillo. A food social at 4pm promises straight-from-the-test-kitchen creations like PB&J potstickers. - Steve Palopoli sanjose.com
