Dharma Publishing is a non-profit, all-volunteer Buddhist publishing house founded in Berkeley in 1971. At our bookstore in downtown Berkeley we offer our own titles as well as many from other publishers related to Buddhist teachings, culture, history and art. These books provide instruction from beginning to advanced meditation, from the basics of Buddhist psychology to the subtleties of some of the most cherished sutras. We also offer art, meditation cushions and mats, jewelry, incense and more.


 Dharma Publishing is dedicated to preserving the culture of Tibetan Buddhism while bringing the ancient wisdom of these teachings to the West. All income is directed toward this goal. We have been fortunate to publish sacred art and books that have brought insight and inspiration to people throughout the world for almost forty years! All of our products are produced on site at the Ratna Ling Retreat Center in Northern California by our all-volunteer staff.
