Designers' Club Too

Start at Church Street and walk toward the hills. Your first stop is the Designers Club. You can tell they have a wonderful attitude from their windows. Playful accents like vintage toys and comic books decorate the duds. Fun. They have a very contemporary collection of beaded and ribboned dresses and separates that include designer names; some familiar (Betsy Johnson) and some a little more obscure (The Pudding Shop). It's roomy space with big windows and lots of light. Items in bright colors and textures are sorted by color. My favorite was the pale green group in the back. Also in back you will find the best Sale Rack with, among other bargains, twin sets for under $40 and little black dresses for under $50. Add to that a really nice collection of accessories and jewelry and you have a super place. The associates are genuine and low-pressure. It's a real comfort zone. I didn't recognize the tunes they were playing, but they sure were really pretty.
