CounterPULSE provides support and low cost resources for emerging artists.

CounterPULSE is an incubator space to create socially relevant, diverse, grassroots art and activism. The center provides low-cost access and technical support to under-served artists from diverse communities who create non-commercial, experimental and grassroots cultural events. CounterPULSE curates and produces:

• performances
• screenings
• readings
• dance jams
• classes
• meetings
• discussions
• rituals
• workshops
• exhibits
• print and media projects
• community events

• It is 3,800 sq. ft. space which represents a nearly 100% increase in space
over the venue at 848.
• It has large south facing windows.
• It has 20-ft. ceilings with no obstructing support columns to allow aerial
and circus arts.
• It is an ADA-accessible venue.
• It is centrally located (Mission/near 9th St.) near public transportation
