Come and enjoy a FREE live concert, showcasing the talented Coronado Symphony String Orchestra from El Paso, TX!The Coronado Symphony String Orchestra is heralded as one of the finest youth orchestras in the Southwest. Featuring works by: Handel, Bach, Puccini, Tchaikovsky and Borodin this full 57 piece orchestra will also feature a chamber group, a cello choir and a string quartet to delight listeners with a variety of musical settings.
Under the direction of Ida Steadman, this outstanding group of youth musicians has traveled extensively and performed all over the world including Japan, Canada, and in Europe where they took 1st place in at the prestigious Youth and Music Festival in Vienna. Performances of note throughout the United States include Carnegie Hall in New York City and the prestigious Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. In addition, they have been selected three times as the State Honor Orchestra by the Texas Music Educators Association.
