San Francisco City Guides, a 27 year old non-profit organization that conducts free walking tours spotlighting San Francisco history, architecture, legend and lore, is a program of the San Francisco Public Library. There are more than 200 trained City Guides conducting over 30 differrent tours for Bay Area residents and visitors 52 weeks a year. The organization's purpose is to preserve and perpetuate the history and folklore of San Francisco and to celebrate its rich cultural diversity.
