Description

Mae Leung is an artist from Toronto, Canada. Mae presents ten distinct photographs of everyday objects with the embedded penetrating statement: I’m Chinese But I Need to Speak English Everyday. An installation piece, Plastic Jungle continues the investigation of the everyday object but in the direction of the use and discard of these objects.

Jo-ey Tang, a graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute and working currently in New York City, brings a fresh view of collages using cut outs of skies and oceans from magazines on marble papers with his signature application of dots. Dot Photos – show Jo-ey’s colored sticker dots applied to otherwise ordinary travel shots.

Jesse Powell, an Oakland based abstract painter, while an admitted Jackson Pollack fan, has broken out into his own painting style while learning from the layering and complexity of Pollack. Jesse presents a set of abstract and mixed media paintings.
