About
Dr. Mike has always been interested in living a healthy lifestyle which initially drew him to the chiropractic profession. He graduated with honors from Utah Valley State where he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society. As he continued his pre-medical studies, he began shadowing medical doctors in preparation to apply for medical school. It was during that time, Dr. Mike was introduced to an alternative method of healing. A profession in which drugs and surgery where not the first line of defense, one which focused on HEALTH care, not SICK care.
Dr. Mike chose to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic West to receive his doctorate of Chiropractic due to the fact that they are known to have the best sports council program in the profession. Dr. Mike participated in as many extracurricular activities as he had time for, including the PCCW Sports Council, Student American Chiropractic Association (SACA), Student California Chiropractic Association (SCCA), Student Body President (ASG) , and senior editor for the Bartlett, a Palmer West Publication. Dr. Mike was also the recipient of the ACA Scholarship, Peggy Sherman Scholarship, and the Fellowship Award. Dr. Mike is currently a member of the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) the California Chiropractic Association (CCA) and is an Ambassador for the Antioch Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Mike completed an internship at a sports rehab clinic where he treated professional athletes from pro tennis players to ultimate fighters. He also participated in rounds through Sunnyvale MRI center, Occupational Rehab center and a Spinal Decompression Center. Dr. Mike participated in extra training to become an M2 certified Graston Technique Provider; a technique currently being used in treating athletes at major universities as well as by a number of professional athletic teams.
