"Gaufre" is the French word for waffles. Cheflandria's Gaufre Waffle is a Liege waffle and it originated in Belgium. The Liege waffle is more dense, richer and chewier than the traditional waffle. It is made from a dough instead of a batter mix. Liege waffle uses a special kind of sugar that makes this waffle stand out. The special sugar can tolerate higher temperature and leaves a caramelization on the waffle's surface. This will give that crunchy texture when you bite on it. It's delicious!
