City Getting Closer to Cambrian 36 Deal

San Jose took another step forward toward annexing Cambrian 36 on Tuesday. City Council voted unanimously to move ahead with the planned annexation, it agreed to postpone the matter for six months so that it can review an alternative offer made by Campbell to the city. The offer would likely include the exchange of lands between San Jose and Campbell, though Vice Mayor Judy Chirco says that any deal would be “revenue neutral” to San Jose.

A Continental Airlines flight from Mineta to Houston was diverted to Albuquerque because of a disruptive passenger, who threatened to commit suicide. Aviation police removed the passenger from the plane, and the FBI conducted interviews of the passengers to get a clearer picture of what happened in the air.

Republic Cloverleaf Solar says that it can power 3,000 homes with energy produced by solar panels installed on the unused land along the freeway.
