Description
What: Carnaval San Francisco, the annual two–day festival and grand parade that takes place in San Francisco’s Mission District over Memorial Day weekend, is kicking off its season of events by hosting four free Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras celebrations at different venues in San Francisco for all ages on Tuesday, Feb. 28 from 6-9 p.m. The venues include Balançoire, Make-Out Room, Latin American Club and Bissap Baobab.All are welcome to meet friends, family and neighbors in the heart of San Francisco’s Latino cultural district to enjoy live samba drummers, dancers winding through the party and lively music, from salsa and soca to cumbia and rumba. Guests are invited to wear costumes, masks and beads in celebration of the holiday. The parties are free and open to the public.
