Carmel's oldest gallery, featuring the work of over 100 local professional artists of the Monterey Peninsula.
Home of the nation's second oldest artist cooperative, this historic Carmel gallery has been a showcase for the works of some of California's greatest artists since 1927. Continuing that proud tradition today, the Carmel Art Association's sales gallery features paintings and sculpture by noted professional local artists, many of whom have received national recognition as well.
The Carmel Art Association welcomes everyone through its doors, from the casual browser to serious art collectors. The gallery is located in the center of Carmel on the west side of Dolores Street between 5th and 6th. From the street, come up the stone stairs and through an intimate sculpture garden to the entrance.
EVENTS:Painting demonstrations, lectures, films, concerts and monthly opening show receptions are held regularly in the gallery and sculpture garden.
