Browser Books has been a leading literary bookseller in San Francisco since 1976, devoted to offering carefully selected titles in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. One of our main interests has been in the literature of the sacred traditions of the world, east and west and how these can support contemporary women and men in their search for meaning in their lives.

Through the years we have continued conversations with others who share the same need for such a search. Many of our customers have come to rely on us not only for our selections of titles but for our deep interest in how these titles can be of help in their lives

We have decided to take this conversation to a new stage by entering the world of publishing. If you are interested in joining this conversation, you should know that we are now accepting manuscripts of poetry and prose that illuminate the spiritual search.
