About
The Excelsior Unit has been open since December 1, 1999. The building was built by the Mayor’s office following an inaugural promise by Mayor Willie Brown to build a youth center in the Excelsior District. This city-owned building engaged in a community process to decide its location and its operating agency. After much research, the city selected Columbia Park Boys & Girls Clubs to be the operating agency. This city building is on school district land and is operated solely by Columbia Park Boys & Girls Clubs.
