Are you a writer? Do you want to get together with other people who will help you grow in your creativity by sitting with you while you write, have a drink, read a bit of your work (if you like) with no criticism, no pressure?

Two local writers are starting Bay Area Writers, a writing group that will meet at a different spot about once a week or so. We'll meet in Dolores Park, at one of our apartments, in a tree...we want to be inspired and able to write wherever we are. We're going to stick mostly to the East Bay to start, with a meeting about once a month in San Francisco. There are no fees or requirements to join, and no time commitment is required. All you have to do is show up. It's helpful, but not at all necessary, if you're willing to host a meeting at your home now and then. You can attend as many or as few meetings as you like! Meetings will typically happen on weekdays after work, but will sometimes fall on the weekend too.

We're hoping to have our first meeting in mid-September. We are tentatively beginning our group Wednesday nights at 7pm. Write back if you're interested, and tell us a little about you, only if you're serious about writing. Let's write!
