fabric8 is pleased to present Axis Mundi, a solo show featuring new works by San Francisco artist Ian Scalzo.Ian Scalzo’s latest collection presents the narrative of his protagonist Zeppy as he embarks on a vision quest. Zeppy seeks out a temple to begin his adventure and takes a magic flower, which enables him to meet the 3rd Eye Fish, who becomes his spiritual guide throughout the journey.
Scalzo’s main character in his body of work, Zeppy is set against a playful and bright palette but is part of a larger picture based on mythic story structures of the hero and his quest for greatness. Axis Mundi is the latest chapter in his adventures.
