About
Art Works Downtown is Marin's premier non-profit art center located in downtown San Rafael. Our 40,000s.f. building houses 40 studios for artists and arts organizations, 2 galleries, a frame store, a clothing boutique, a jewelers guild, a ceramic center, and a restaurant (opening soon) plus 17 affordable apartments on the upper floors.
The 1337 Gallery and the Underground Gallery feature rotating exhibits every month and we are one of the Fourth St anchors for San Rafael's 2nd Fridays Art Walk, when we are open every 2nd Friday of the month until 8pm.
We are open to the public Tues-Sat, 10am-5pm.
