Located on the third floor of Metreon, the 15-screen Loews Theatres Metreon is San Francisco’s largest movie theatre complex, a gorgeous movie palace with a panoramic view of the Yerba Buena Gardens Esplanade and the San Francisco skyline.

Loews Theatres Metreon accommodates 3,900 guests and features fully upholstered, high-backed rocking chair seats for a perfect view and exceptional comfort, plus huge screens with nearly double the visual impact found in conventional movie theatres. Every auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art projection technology, THX® certification and Sony Dynamic Digital Sound®(SDDS®) -the most advanced digital cinema sound system in the marketplace today.

The IMAX Theatre at Metreon's first for San Francisco and the largest 3D screen in the world. Metreon's IMAX Theatre features both 2-D and 3-D capabilities and boasts a huge 80' x 100' screen, seating 600 people in its 2-D configuration and 480 people for the 3-D configuration.
