About
The Academy of Martial & Internal Arts is Santa Cruz county's oldest Chinese martial arts school. For more than 45 years, Director Ted Mancuso has been teaching and practicing traditional Chinese martial arts and energetics (like Qigong.) Instruction is both authentic and individually tailored to each student.
The Academy is an adult-only school; no belts, no competition. We teach Tai Chi Chuan, Qigong, Kung Fu, and Bagua Zhang. Our mandate is to promote and preserve the great human treasure of Chinese martial arts, for health, longevity, self-protection, well-being, and all of the benefits this practice can bring.
Ted Mancuso is internationally recognized as a writer, teacher, publisher and promoter of these Arts. In addition to the Academy, he operates plumpub.com, a site also dedicated to the traditional Chinese martial arts boasting over 4000 books, dvds and vcds along with hundreds of free articles and tutorials for students and teachers alike.
