Off the Grid, the leading street food event organizer in San Francisco, is continuing its march south with the announcement this week that it will introduce its first weekly event in San Jose.

The widely popular company from SF, will debut a new weekly lunchtime market starting May 2 at Evergreen Village Square with eight food trucks, including  Los Tolucas, Brother Baby’s BBQ, We Sushi, Dil Se, Hongry Kong and Drewski’s Hot Rod Kitchen.

This will be Off the Grid’s third South Bay location, following locations in Cupertino and Sunnyvale. The company has more than 40 weekly markets and 180 vendors in its network, including its flagship event Friday evenings at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

The Saturday lunch event at Evergreen Village Square will be accompanied by live music from local artists and a pop-up shop from San Jose Made.

Off the Grid joins San Jose-based food truck and event organizer Moveable Feast, which offers several similar events throughout the South Bay. Moveable Feast also operates the popular San Jose Taco Festival of Innovation and its debut Electronic Sriracha Festival last year grabbed national headlines.
