Drink Wine, Help the Youth Science Institute, Friday, June 24
If you think it’s important for kids to learn about science in creative, hands on ways and not just inside the classroom, come to Joseph George in San Jose to partake of rare, small-production Napa Valley wines hand-selected and poured by Bert George, owner of Joseph George Wines. In addition to the liquid libations there will be special hors-d’oeuvres by Blue Sage Catering as well as a live auction. All ticket sales, proceeds from the auction, and a percentage of the wine sales from the evening will go to directly support Youth Science Institute’s hands-on science programs.

Drink Wine, Help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Saturday, June 25
Drink wine content that you are doing something good for your fellow human beings. Come to a wine tasting fundraiser at Coterie Cellars in San Jose on Saturday, June 25th from 3-5pm. Your ticket gets you wine, food pairings and a bottle or two of something delicious to take home (up to a $39 value). Bonny Doon Art & Wine Festival, Saturday, June 24
Enjoy the great outdoors, lovely wine and art at the 9th Annual Bonny Doon Art & Wine Festival. The event will be held under the majestic redwoods at Hoogner’s beautiful Bonny Doon Gardens. Indian Festival, Sunday, June 26
This Saturday and Sunday, enjoy a glimpse of Indian culture through dance, food, cooking demonstrations and Bollywood films. This 2 day event takes place at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton. Highlights include a Yoga demonstration for all ages, samosa contest and live dance performance on Saturday, and an art competition, cooking demo and Bollywood film extravaganza from 3-6pm on Sunday.
