Police believe a 24-year-old man who was killed in at a San Jose residential care facility Tuesday night died from strangulation.

Alex Nakayama, 28, was arrested in connection with the murder, which occurred around 7:30 p.m. at a home converted into a care facility in the 1800 block of St. Andrews Place. Officers arrived to find the victim, Jeffrey Wong, unconscious. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating but have said there might have been some sort of confrontation or dispute between the men earlier in the day that led to the murder.

Nakayama was booked into Santa Clara County Jail.
