The holidays are officially in full swing and this year residents can ride the Polar Express all the way to the North Pole.

Well, kind of.

Beginning Nov. 18, Santa fans will have a chance to board the famous Polar Express courtesy of the Santa Cruz and Monterey Bay railroads. Guests will enjoy the magic of the classic book, written by Chris Van Allsburg, and live out scenes from the popular film that starred Tom Hanks. For the first time trains will depart from Santa Cruz Railroad. The magic will begins when the conductor calls, “All aboard!”

The entertainment includes dancing chefs, elves, warm cookies and hot chocolate—just like the classic story. Children will have a chance to meet Santa at the North Pole and receive the first gift of Christmas. Families are encouraged to wear their pajamas and sing Christmas carols while they listen and enjoy the narration of the original story.

Trains will depart at 1pm, 3pm, 5:30pm and 7:30pm through Dec, 23, although not all times are offered every day. Ticket prices range from $34-$89.
