It’s time again for the Sharks Foundation Fitness Face-Off, combining fitness, fun, family and friends. Early Sunday morning on Sept. 25, a sea of teal shirts and running shoes will flood downtown San Jose for the 4th annual event.
Families and friends of all athletic abilities are invited to come together and participate in a 5k or 10k starting at the Shark Tank, and circling the Guadalupe Parkway area. There will also be a kids specific fun run around the SAP Center. Whether walking or running, the Fitness Face-Off emphasizes the importance of getting out and being active. Proceeds from the event go to support the Sharks Foundation and underserved youth in the Bay Area.
Running is not the only thing the Fitness Face-Off offers. There will also be a health fair on the arena green—free and open to the public to come, participate and ask questions with the aim of spreading health and wellness through better diet and exercise. The health fair will include local vendors and exhibits.
The day would not be complete without a few perks. Participants receive a Sharks race-themed T-shirt, a finishers medal, and, new this year, the first 2,000 registrants will receive a $10 voucher for an upper-level ticket to one of the first three Sharks preseason games. Register here.
