Located in beautiful Almaden Park the Almaden Valley Art & Wine Festival has been a staple of the area since 1976. Featuring all-day entertainment for the whole family, this event is a great way to spend the day together. This year, the festival will take place Sept 11.
Live music will be featured on two stages, one guaranteed to keep the kids entertained with performances by Shaolin Kungfu Zen Academy and Purple Fox and The Heebie Jeebies. The silent auction boast swank prizes like vacation getaways and limited edition artwork by a few artist you might recognize, Dali, Picasso, Chagall and many lesser known, but equally talented artists. Additional prizes include signed sports and entertainment collectables, dinners at local restaurants, tickets to local attractions and kayaking at Moss Landing.
The stars of the festival will be the wide collection of local wineries and breweries that will be offering their goods at the event. Participating vendors include: David Bruce Winery, Clo LaChance Winery, Fortino Winery, Gianelli Vineyards, J. Lohr Vineyards and Wines, Leal Vineyards, Martin Ranch Winery, Rombauer Vineyards and DBI Beverage, Inc. Guests will receive a commemorative glass along with their tasting tickets featuring the artwork of Tifani Ebrahimi, the winner of the annual logo contest and an Almaden Valley Student.
There will be a collection of classic festival favorites like Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream and Peter’s Kettle Corn in addition to more unique dishes from Mayuri Indian Cuisine, Carmen’s Taqueria and Falafel Fresh Food Truck. There will also be plenty of entertainment for the under 21 crowd including a rock climbing wall, face painting, carnival games, crafts and jump houses all located in the Kidz Zone.
