Anyone who’s ever wanted to kick the tires on a Lotus can head to the Silicon Valley International Auto Show, January 9-12 at the McEnry Convention Center.

The show will feature high-end exotics from the likes of Lotus, Bentley, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce, in addition to more conventional models, with a bonus look at preproduction 2015 models. The 2015 Chevrolet Silverado HD, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon will all be on display.

Unfortunately, show-goers won’t be able to get behind the while of the high-end vehicles, but they will be able to test drive more than 50 different cars from Cadillac, Chevy, Ford and Toyota.

One major draw of this year’s show will the increasing array of plug-in electric vehicles on display, including the BMW i3, Chevrolet Spark Electric, Ford Focus Electric and Ford Fusion Energi.

In addition to the new electrics, new in-car technology will be will represented, as well. Smart phone apps that let drivers check an electric car’s level of charge, built-in wifi and inductive charging (think charging a phone without plugging it in) are just a few of the new gizmos show-goers will get to play with.

The Auto Show will be open 10am-10pm every day except Sunday, when it will close at 6pm. Admission for adults will be $11 and seniors, students and kids ages 7-12 only $8. Kids under 8 are free.
