Good Eats, the Food Network show which Alton Brown wrote, produced and starred in, was the first of its kind. Coupled with Brown’s offbeat style and quirky humor, the show was an exciting blend of food science, pop culture and common cooking sense, commanding a massive following for 13 seasons.

Expect the same kind of absorbing revelry at his new show, “Alton Brown Live! The Edible Inevitable Tour”, which hits the San Jose Center of Performing Arts on October 24th. Stand-up comedy and talk show antics will be in full swing, along with lots of opportunities for audience participation, multimedia lecture, music and experimentation with food. Ponchos may be involved. The show is scheduled for October 24th. Tickets range from $25.50 to $101.50 for VIP tickets and a pre-show reception with Mr. Brown.

Brown, who found his true passion in food in college when women would often say “no” to dates but sometimes “yes” if he offered to cook, was a culinary commentator on Iron Chef America for 11 years and a host of Next Iron Chef for 5. He has won two James Beard awards and has written 7 books, 3 of which have made the New York Times Best Sellers list. For more information on the tour, visit www.altonbrowntour.com.
