South First Fridays Art Walk and Street Market returns this week for local art displays, an open-air market and a free concert from indie musician John Staedler, Ghost and the City, and San Francesca. Exhibition highlights to look for:

Anno Domini
Anno Domini showcases White Light, the latest installment in Brett Amory’s Waiting series, which features the culture of public transit as its subject matter. Also on display is Dimitri Drjuchin’s The Melting Kingdom solo exhibition, which made its debut at the last South First Fridays event.

Higher Fire Clayspace & Gallery
The Higher Learning exhibit features work from emerging clay artists such as Jonathan Huang, Malia Landis, Kat MacKinnon, Demetra Messoloras, Avery Palmer, David White and Wesley Wright.

Kaleid Gallery
Kaleid hosts the opening reception for feature artists Leslie Ann Rice and Sara Tomasello. Leslie Ann Rice’s Circus Act exhibit explores circus and popular culture, and Sara Tomasello’s Looking through the Glass examines human nature through vibrant colors.

MACLA
The Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana hosts an opening reception for its new exhibit, A Body Parted, by Victor Cartagena with sound elements by David Molina. There will also be a micro-performance by Secos y Mojados.

SLG Art Boutiki & Gallery
Slave Labor Graphics features The Art of the Zombie Apocalypse, which showcases art leftover from this week’s Zombie-O-Rama event. Artists show off their interpretations of the living dead.

Eulipia Restaurant
Eulipia Restaurant hosts the Jazz Mafia, the loose-knit band of jazz cats, MCs, arrangers and composers who have recorded in the studio with Carlos Santana and backed artists such as Zion-I, KRS One and Thomas Dolby.
