George Hotz, the hacker who unlocked the iPhone so that it could be used with carriers other than AT&T, has reportedly taken a job with Facebook.
Hotz, who hacks under the names geohot and mil, is currently being sued by Sony for hacking the Playstation 3 so that it could run any software. Since taking his job in Facebook in May, he has withdrawn from a challenge to hack Apple’s iPad 2.
Hotz himself first revealed his new job in a Facebook posting that reads, “Facebook is really an amazing place to work…first hackathon over.” There is some speculation that Hotz will be working on Facebook’s rumored new iPad app.
