A motor officer with the SJPD was injured in a hit and run incident on Monday afternoon at the intersection of South First Street and Alma Avenue. Officer Devlin Creighton, 29, was conducting selective enforcement of traffic violations when the incident occurred.

Creighton was following a vehicle on South First when a Honda Accord suddenly pulled up in front of him. Creighton crashed into the Honda and was thrown from his bike. The driver took off, and has yet to be found.

Creighton was transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for a head injury and pains in his arm and chest. Police are continuing their search for the light blue Honda Accord that was involved in the crash.
