Description
San Francisco songwriter Rabbit Quinn's classical piano training is evident in how smooth, textured and fluid her songs are. Originally from Saratoga, Quinn has been playing the piano since she was a child and had a classical pianist father to lead the way. Rather than compose concertos, she weaves elements of theatrical ballads and pop music with her penchant for classical music, not unlike Tori Amos. Her music is haunting, gentle and catchy all at once. She recently released her debut album Lost Children, a labor of love that has taken her years to finish. Currently she's playing with percussionist Beth Wiesendanger and cellist Natasha Littlewood, creating a somewhat different live sound than what's on her album. (Aaron Carnes)
